How to choose the correct parasol base for your garden parasols?

Parasols are popular items in the garden of summer.

While, after buying a nice parasol, do you know how to choose a correct parasol base?

Step 1: Choose the correct base weight:  

The correct weight of base is essential to keep the parasol stable.

In the opposite, if the base weight is not enough to hold the parasol, some damages or injury might occur.

So weight is the most important step in the choosing process.

Heavier than the suggested weight is ok, but less weight might be not stable enough.

Step 2: Check the pole diameter of the parasol  (For Central pole parasols only)

(For central pole parasols only, side pole parasols are using adapters instead of tubes) :

Step３：Check the connection size for base and parasol (For Cantilever garden parasols only): 

Cantilever garden parasols (Or called side-pole parasols) are having a big pole at one side.

Normally this type of parasol has a rotation system. (To change the shade position at different time of the day)

Check the rotation system and find the connection holes.

Then choose the suitable base with the same diamention to match.

      

 

4: Select your preferred base material:

Parasol bases mainly made of 3 types of material:

(1) Granite base:

Made from natural granite;

Color is normally in grey or black color;

Weight could make from 15kgs- 120kgs.

(2) Reinforced concrete Base: 

Made from reinforced concrete material;

(3) Fillable base:

The empty base is very light. Easy to move and transport;

Fill with water or sand to reach the designed weight;
